Why it never goes back to zero
Most sober counters reset to zero after one drink. That moment of "I have blown it anyway" is how one drink turns into a week. Sober Counter is built the other way round.
Days won never go down
Every alcohol-free day since you started counts, forever. Your current streak sits beside it if you want one, and only the streak restarts.
Your body keeps its progress
One drink does not undo weeks of healing, in your body or in the app. A slip is logged honestly, not as a wipe.
Help is never behind a paywall
The craving button and logging a drink are always free. Nobody should hit a paywall in their hardest moment.
Breaks count as wins
Taking 30 days, 90 days or Dry January? Finish it and it is a goal completed, not a streak that ended.
See what your body is healing
A map of your body lights up as you go: sleep, liver, skin, heart, mind. Fifteen milestones in all, each linked to its public health source, with a live countdown to the next one.
๐ Craving help, one tap
Breathing, grounding and urge surfing for the minutes when it is hardest.
๐ท Money and drinks
See what you have kept and what you have skipped, from your own numbers.
๐ An honest calendar
Every day marked alcohol-free or not, with nothing shaming in red.
๐ Private by design
No account, ever. Everything stays on your phone, with an optional Face ID lock.
Questions
What is Sober Counter?
An iPhone app that counts your alcohol-free days, shows how your body recovers, and helps you through cravings. It works whether you are stopping for good or taking a break.
What happens if I have a drink?
You log it as a drink day. Your current streak starts again, but your days won stay exactly where they were. Sober Counter never sends you back to zero.
Is it free?
It will be free to download, with an optional Pro upgrade for more craving tools, themes and widgets. Craving help and logging a drink are always free.
Is my data private?
Yes. There is no account and nothing to sign up for. What you enter stays on your phone.
Can it replace a doctor or treatment?
No. Sober Counter is a tracker and a set of coping tools, not medical care. If you drink heavily every day, speak to a doctor before you stop: alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous and sometimes needs medical support.
When is it out?
Soon, on iPhone. This page will say so the day it launches.
Need support right now?
In the UK, the NHS lists free alcohol support services: NHS alcohol support. In the US, the SAMHSA National Helpline is free, confidential and open all day, every day. Elsewhere, your local health service can point you to help near you.
